The World of Digital ExpertisePosted by Richard Williams in Untagged |
As time goes by I have seen an evolution and revolution occur again simultaneously and this time around I approve of it. I wasn't all that happy with a lot of the nonsense that went on when I lived through it in the 60's but the digital age is upon us now and that is something that I am really happy with. Digitized informaton that is universally able to be used throughout the world will be responsible for great strides in the world's knowledge and abilities. It will affect every corner of industry, commerce and home entertainment to name a few. I firmly believe that the best of this digitized age is still yet to come.
Believing in the digital technology, the knowledge base of the world and industrial progress, is easily understood when you see how the Inspirtech Company handles the teaching of it, in easy installments. A couple of years ago I was able to use some Inspirtech training videos in my test case to teach a six year old next door to me. About four weeks later (twice a week) I was getting eDrawings sent to me from this youngster. I don't believe that I am that good of an instructor but I do believe that watching those training videos with this little guy was easily absorbed by him so his learning speed was greatly enhanced.
Tuning into The CAD Academy web site tonight I saw the Inspirtech video tutorials being used in a presentation to the public and I could not help but to smile. I've seen them before and it was a nice feeling to see some of them used in the presentation. It was like looking at a family picture album. I knew everyone in it. They are just all so well done and the Cast of Characters never lets you down. Great job Inspirtech.

A Science Project for Today's Classrooms
By Corporal Willy, August 18, 2009
There is no way anyone should ever confuse me with those that are engineers or teachers. I'm simply not either one of them. But I have been teaching for years to youngsters mostly and have also been dabbing into the world of engineering with different projects. I do these things today to encourage young adults and even younger students to think about becoming an engineer or some other technically trained worker for all those jobs that American industries cannot find enough trained people for.

Okay, I heard the term that says, "Necessity is the Mother of Invention" and I suppose you have heard it too. What bothers me is the fact that I actually have to apply aphorisms like that to my own life at times. So here I will state the problem and the solution to it. First off, let us take a look at the problem down below here.

Involvement
By Richard Williams, 2/23/2009
Did you ever ask yourself how you got involved with a work project, a show, a contest, a speaking engagement, a club or organization, a youth guiding effort like mentoring, teaching a religious education class, or for that matter anything else in life? Actually, I have been involved in all of these things I just mentioned including another one I did not remember until just now and it was when I became an Emergency Medical Technician and worked on ambulances and first aid squads while on major construction jobs. The two years of training helped me to save a life or two, which made it all worthwhile of course. I do get INVOLVED in different things I will admit that. But it can also be a good thing too, because it broadens our experiences and it can work to our advantage at times. There are pros and cons like the time allocations given and when you are involved with many different things there are never enough hours in the day, any day.
